Privacy policy

What we collect

Summer Camp Coordinator only collects what you give us — your email and password (managed by Supabase Auth), profile fields you fill in (display name, photo, home address, time zone), kids you add (first name, birth date, interests, your private notes), the summer weeks you mark as needing camp, the camps you save or attend, the connections you accept, the reviews you write, and messages exchanged with our onboarding chat.

We do not buy data, run third-party trackers, sell your details, or train models on your private notes about your kids.

What stays private to you

• Your home address — used only to compute your own distance to each camp. Other parents never see it.
• Your kid's birth date — only their computed age is ever shown.
• Private notes on a kid (allergies, accommodations) — never leave your account.
• Your email — never shown to other parents. Vouching and connection requests route through us.

What you control

Sharing is opt-in per relationship. Every kid's profile, availability, and enrollments are invisible to other parents until you create a share with that specific person. Revoking a share is immediate and audited.

Reviews you post are visible to every verified parent — that's the one network-wide signal in the app — but you can toggle anonymous display so your name and photo aren't shown. Camp categories and ratings aren't personal data; they describe a camp.

Email

You receive transactional email when someone interacts with you (vouching, connection request, share, “group up” request). Those are not promotional and can't be opted out of without deleting your account.

The Sunday/Saturday weekly digest is opt-out — every digest has a one-click unsubscribe link, and you can toggle it from notification settings.

Data retention

Account deletion cascades to all kids, availability, enrollments, reviews, shares, and connections you authored. Email support@mmsummerplanner.com and we'll process the deletion within 30 days.

Subprocessors

• Supabase — database, auth, file storage.
• Vercel — hosting + scheduled jobs.
• Resend — transactional + digest email delivery.
• Anthropic — onboarding chat, camp page extraction, review moderation. Conversations + scraped HTML are sent for processing; we don't opt into model training.
• OpenStreetMap Nominatim — geocoding addresses (we send the address, get back coordinates).
